Special Guest: Julia Pine

Julia Pine joins the 19th Hole Conversation. This is going to be a fun conversation where we hit on a variety of topics since Julia has her hand in alot given she is a PR/Communcations professional for the USGA. We’re going to help you more easily converse about golf as well as highlight the upcoming major, The US Open (one of the biggest sporting events in the world!) and get some behind-the-scenes-info about working directly with PGA/LPGA professionals.

If you watched Full Swing, on NetFlix you may have spotted Julia making an appearance or two. We will discuss the current events surrounding golf (LIV Golf, Full Swing Documentary etc.) We will dig deeper into the gender inequity in golf and what the USGA is doing to bridge that gap. We’ll also translate all of the important golf acronyms (USGA, PGA, LPGA etc.) and what is most useful to know about each- we dunno about you, but we still get confused all the time!

Julia Pine joined the USGA in December of 2017 to oversee a broad-based communications strategy for its women’s championships and since then her role has greatly evolved.

In her role, she is tasked with managing the communications, media relations, content strategy, reputation management, and public relations, with an emphasis on the U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open. She is an integral member of the USGA’s strategy team for the U.S. Women’s Open, one of the most-watched women’s sporting events in the world. Passionate about the advancement of women’s sports, Julia has the ability to develop industry-wide initiatives that create significant impact across the sport.
